in an auto all u do is press the gas and the brake, its doesn't give the feeling your in a race car. and beside that its not as powerfl as the manual. i say sell and get a stick or change the transmission.

Thumbs down

the auto tranny is a useless waste of power and noooooooooo fun at all.....I know switching to tranny to 5spd can be pretty expensive he might just wanna sell his to some GIRL who needs an auto and get a 5spd teg way better and will respond better to mods.

a/t reply

alot of people hate on an automatic, but from what professional racers have told me is that if your going to put a turbo in an acura that the automatic transmission works better with it, nothing against manual, i love it but without switching the transmission a turbo upgrade would be great.

if he really wants a 5 speed he should do the conversion, trade his car in on a manual, or sell it to buy one. if hes fine with it being an automatic just build it. A good shot of Nitrous should even the score with a good bit of 5 speeds out there. my personal preference is a 5 speed. with a good clutch they take abuse alot better. i tore up my first cars tranny(accord) cause it was an auto and i raced it alot switching gears and doing neutral drops. not very good. the 5 speed would be much better but if he could deal with it its not like he can't modify it. all just personal preference.

Hey, I have a 96 LS auto, only because there isn't a teg w/ a 5 speed for sale for the same price within 300 miles! But better to have a teg with an auto than no teg..I think. He'll get used to all the sh** people give you, I did
