94 civic si good choice for first car?
is a 94 si a good first car to race out? if so what engine swap would be the best for my car, and how much would it cost? Any info would be helpful.Thanks

I think it's a great choice. It's a really light platform with incredible handling. If you're going to swap, however, don't spend the extra money on an Si. Get a CX (it's the lightest model) and swap in a B16 SiR II for NA or a B18b1 if you want to go turbo. A B16 swap can be had for about $2300 not including labor. A B18 would go for around $2000 (maybe a little less) but a complete turbo kit would be about $3500. You could probably build your own kit for $2000, but you need to know what you're doing. Hope this helps.

yea basically dont waste your money getting an si hatch, get a lower model hatch, with a lot of miles on it, if u plan on building the thing to "race out"
