Starting

I Have a 97 Grand Voyager, with 3.0 liter in the morning when I go to start the car it starts right up and drives just fine however after driving for awhile and I shut it of let it set, I go to start it and it cranks fine but it does so for about 3-5 sec. before it starts to kick over and when it kicks over it sputters a little, once it is running it drives fine. one thing it does do is when you are on the interstate and you are in limbo (not speeding up and not slowing down) it does a little jurk every once in awhile. thanks

Re: Starting

That exact same thing happened to me too. It was the fuel pump which is located in the tank. You have to lower the front of the tank to get at the pump. It is a fairly easy job. Just use up as much gas as you can before you start. Or, on top of the tank is a capped line that is for siphoning the tank empty.
Good luck,
Jim

I had this happen to me along with many other things. I changed my fuel filter twice. The second time I put extensions on the lines and moved the filter. If it happens again i don't have to take the gas tank down again.
