Unhappy PIXEL Restoration....HELP!!!!!!

i have a 1994 325is convertible...i need to "restore" some of the pixels in the information display centre on the console (messages unclear...like burnt out bars of a digital clock)...NEone know how to do this?

Same problem I have. The OBC is unreadable. I'm debating getting a replacement unit from scrap or buying from the dealership. But if it's a capacitor thing or similar, i wouldn't mind fixing mine...!

i have same problem, my dealer says its not something that can be repaird,it has to be replaced,i said forget it i'll make due.

If you guys just are not able to clearly see all numbers in the OBC, you can dettach it, open it and check some circuitry. If you have some electronic tech friend, they would be able to replace burned pieces. I did on mine once already. No reason to pay a $500 unit replace for $1 circuitry parts.
