Sequoia Supercharger - Is it a big deal!?
Hi!
Just wondering if anyone that owns a sequoia with a supercharger really feel that much difference as far as power and fuel consumption. How much MPG do you get city/hwy? Thanks! |

I own a 2002 Sequioa Limited on which I've installed the TRD supercharger. A couple of points. If you install it yourself, there is NO TRD warranty, although it's a relatively easy installation. You can purchase the kit on the web for around $3700. Check your VIN number with TRD first to assure you're getting the right model number supercharger for your Sequoia. Ok, enough of that. If you want power, get it! The claimed increase in HP is 110 and, in my opinion, that is conservative. I have not had it on a Dyno, but I can tell you this truck gets to 60 in under 6 seconds. It has loads of torque increase and feels like it will jump curbs. Second, get the limited slip differential too, you'll need it. According to my calcs, I'm still getting around 15-16 mpg in the city and over 20 on the highway. Good luck. It's a weekend job.
