Clutch??
I think this is the clutch, but just looking for a bit of inspiration from this forum.
1995/96 Basic 1300 Escort. Runs ok, but when you are setting off, or picking up speed, and put your foot hard down, the engine races away, with no real increase in speed. Same as when you are setting off. Could this be the clutch slipping badly, or is it possible there is a simpler solution? If it is the clutch, how much of a fun job is it on this car? Engine out? Its a Right hand drive UK vehicle by the way. Cheers Oh, by the way, the user name refers to my other much preferred car, 1987 Ford Capri. Tons of fun, slides round corners ace and never a days trouble. LOVE IT!!!! |
