Car theft

Howdy
I'm thinking about buy'n a '95 Integra SE.
The Integra is the #1 stolen car?
Am I gonna have to worry every time I park it?
I live in the Seattle area
What are your thoughts?

this is basically up to u, other cars get stolen all the time not just the integra. i believe right now the #1 stolen car is the camry. i never had mine stolen, but i better knock on wood. just be cautious where u park your car, like parking it under lights so it can be seen or close to where people are always near it. having an alarm would also would also help deter the thieves also.

I have a 90 Integra and just because it is one of the most stolen cars I installed an alarm last week just to be safe and for my on peace of mind. As soon as I get the actuators in the mail it'll also add keyless entry. I bought mine for $45 off of eBay. Thing works great I guess the only thing that is lacking is the range but doesn't matter to me all that much the alarm part of it still works GREAT.

Has about every option I could need after I get some more engine work and some more sound components installed I'll be getting a DEI just because of how good they are but untill then for a 1/4 of the price this works great.

My car got stolen. Luckily someone scared them off before they could finish, so I was able to get almost reimbursed. I had like a $900 system stolen, but now I'm kind of glad. It was heavy as hell, and took up the WHOLE trunk. Now I got a nice alarm with everything. Still need to figure out how to hook up remote start on my 5 speed. I also ordered some hood locks, to keep those worthless f*cks out of my engine bay if they ever try to pop my hood and jack anything. I hope they work.

Re: Car theft

theives are look for easy prey. so if you lock your doors, have an alarm, put on the club, and park in well lit areas they will leave it alone because they can go get another car easier.

well i agree that they look for easy prey, but if you are going to mod the hell out of i wouldnt advertise that either, i have a friend park his civic with a type-R in it at a local college and he had DOHC v-tec all over teh car and type-R embles where they would normally go on a type-R hatch. and some assholes stole it, he had logac though so the cops found it in like 4 hours and insurance fixed every little ding on his car.

Yep, they are terrible. Try to score a good deal on a DEI unit. They are way better. I think I might have one left around here.
