Question K20a swap into 5th Gen. Hatch 92-95

Hey think about this a K20A type-R engine into a civic hatch. I love the 5th gen. body 92-95 but don't know what model to go with. I'm thinking the summer is super hot here and I need the a/c and I'm thinking more technology with the ABS, seeing how I'm looking at a 2002 engine swap. WHat would I need to upgrade and or get to do this dreaminng conversion???
THanks anyone who has advise.

Here you go, a K series in a EG. Prototype mounts, as you will see by the photoshop coverups, but it's done, and running. A few have done it, but this is the best documented.

Why not just drop a b18c in there and turbo it. I'm sure the new K series engines are going to be outrageously expensive and then your going to have to stuff it in their. The k20a is also a big engine. Like 2.0l I think. So I'm not sure that you could get the a/c to still work. I would go with a b18c1 or b18c5, And turbo.

The reason is the K series is a superior engine in everyway, and it's lighter than a B series. Being that it seats opposite the B, D, and H series is just a mount kit and custom headers away, no problem. And if you took the time to read the link, you'd see that they can be found cheaper than you would think. Also it is going to be newer, so better condition, and last longer. Once custom mounts go into production, and the other parts to support the swap like wiring subharness's, it will become a much more popular swap.

I did read the link, and It doesn't say anything about the price, I looked on the web and the cheapest I could find the swap was for $6000. Plus there isn't much info out there on the swap. He would have to custom fabricate a lot of stuff. In your link they also say the wiring isn't simple, and they don't say anything about a/c which he said that he needed. I was just suggesting that it would be easier and more cost efficient to do a b-series swap. I mean it would be awesome to get that engine in there if he has the money. But why not stick with what we know works?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: K20a swap into 5th Gen. Hatch 92-95

If we stuck with what we know works, there wouldn't be H22's in civics, and Bisi wouldn't have run a cunt hair over 10sec in a carburated 1.5L non vtec D series, that's why. And no RIGHT now the swap is 100% custom, but those that have the skills are trying it out (actually have already done it) and will be helping make it a reality for others. Yes the wiring sucks, now, but give it time, and once the trial and error is done, it will get easier and more documented. And he states in the htread that he got BOTH of the ones he has had for under $4000.
