Sup guys, I just signed up for this forum, and this is my first post. Once upon a time I had dreams of owning a VR-4 and a Supra, but then, I woke up, and realized those were WAY out of my price range, as far as MPG and maintence is concerned. I have never driven anything over a 4-banger in my entire life, and I was searching for the cream of the 4-banger crop. I looked through auto forums, asked around, compared prices with performance, fuel economy, modability, I also used several search engines, and all signs pointed to "Integra". I came upon this decision from my experience from driving several Hondas, and seeing their performance and fuel economy. I love Honda, they make such great little cars, and decided to go a step above and go Acura. These cars look very appealing to me, they easily accept mod, and are compared with a Civic, much more luxurious. Everyone tells me, "Get one man! They are such sweet little cars!"", they always say this but they don't give me the whole picture. Are there any negative aspects of Teggies? Any good prices? I've settled on a GSR, a step down from the Type-R, which is WAY out of my price range. The GSR looks best to me as far as price and performance(love that VTEC
). Also, what is a good wheel size to have with a Teg? Any particular brnads of tire that excel with the GSR? What are good starting mods? Look, I know this is probobly a noob question, but to tell you the truth, I have looked EVERYWHERE, and have not got a straight answer. Either they praises it's name to Allah, or they completely trash it to death. I decided to post after sifting through hundreds of posts and not finding answers to my questions. Any help would be greatly appeciated. Thanks a bunch guys!!!

that's cool man it happens as far as first mods do the basic I/H/Ewhich is intake, headers, exhaust. you can get a cheap intake off of ebay, get some good headers like DC sports, and for the exhaust don't waste moeny on a system just get a universal muffler you like and have it repiped with 2 and a quater piping from the catback. that can usually be done at a muffler shop. i know one near where i live that will do it for 80 bucks if you bring in the muffler. as far as wheels most people go with 17's and lower it. it looks good but im more of the raceing then looks so id go with some good 15" lightweight rota's or something. but thats just me. just look around man theres alot of knowledge to be had around here.

negative aspect is no torque...gotta wind the car up to get it to move.
100 shot in a gs-r = not too good of an idea. need better internals for that.

100 shot on stock internals=bye bye b18c1, hello new b18c5.
i personally wouldn't put anything more than a 50 shot on a stock motor (honda motor atleast)

for something to get around town in and to be able to feel some roll on power with you should consider the LS. i loved it when i had mine. you didn't have to wait on VTEC to kick in. also still alot of possibilities with it too. LS's make great turbo cars down the line compared to other integras if you plan to drop some major money in it later on and like tran said the LS/VTEC is a beast. low end and topend so you can have your cake and eat it too
