can I beat a Z28

Hey guys here's a quick question....
DO you think that it would be possible for my turbo GSR to take out a camaro z28 SS?
I have a T3 turbo installed with the full 8psi of boost and I know that this guy has never raced before. I just was thinkin that even though he's got the lt1 engine, it's all stock and he has never raced before but seems to be intent on showing me that he can smoke me. So guys I have the racing expirience but the question is do you think that my car can handle a big boy like that?

Simple question... are you confident that your car can run better than high 13s/low 14s?

If if you can run in that time frame... you've got a slight chance.

Just don't fuck up your launch, cause If he pulls you from a dig you're going to be playing catch up all the way. I'd suggest running him from a rolling start where he doesn't have the biggest advantage.

If you can beat a turbo CRX, like I did, then you have a chance of beating him as well. Like redneck said, what are your times?

You might have a chance. If from a dig, try not to screw up your launch. I think itll be better from a roll.

Well, he says it's a Z28/SS which means 4th gen, and he said LT1... so that means either a '96 or '97 with the 305hp LT1's.

ide say you would take him, hes never raced before and if yours is properly tuned then you should take him anyway, i say you win if you dont fuk up

I know that... But i was looking more into exact year. It doesnt make a difference but its good to know

I'm guessing it will be a close race considering the Z28 being stock, but like RedNeck said, it will come down to the best launch and since he has never raced before you have a slight edge.

If he's not used to racing, it may cost him up to half a second getting his car up and moving which may give you the advantage to take him out.

I think you'll need a bit more than a breathed on B16 swap to take out a SS/Z28 LT1...

But you're more than welcome to try... you never know what may happen.
