i was lookin at names of people and som eof them say "moderator" what is that, and how can you become one?

Moderators are people who keep everything running smoothly without "most" of them AF would be a wreck.
And to be a Mod you usually start kissing Igor(Guy who runs the place) ass.

Moderators are the forum heads; that is they keep the forums clean of clutter(old threads brought back to life, pointless threads), make sure the user guidelines are being followed, take care of any problematic users, and lock any threads that are offensive or in need of locking, as well as make sure threads are in the proper forums. Im sure I missed something, but that's in short what a moderator does. Unfortunately you cant just become one, you have to be selected to be one, and that doesnt happen by asking, because asking will just make the likelyhood of it occuring shrink. But yeah, the mods here are great and do a great job, and are helpful to anyone who needs help. Anywho, welcome to teh AF d00d

thanks, i was always curious, and i thought i woudl ask since i joined, plus it kinda gives me a chance to talk to a few of the people on here, and so far everyone seems pretty cool
