need help on supercharger!!!!

it is used off of a 94 pontiac bonneville SSEI. it looks like it would work, but i'm worried about the computer. he says he has the engine computer, but i don't know if it will be compatable with my 88 century. if anybody has any input, it would be helpful. thanks

no mention was made regarding whether the Buick was also supercharged. If so, then, with little changes it will likely work. The 3.8 is a Buick design, used in Pontiacs and Olds vehicles. There is not likely a problem, the GM types certified engine families, not engine themselves. You are not likely to have an issue. The programming is likely to change little. Ray

It's possible , but not reccomended. I'll explain:

For simplicity's sake, the L37 is the code name for the Regular 3.8. L67 is the code name for the supercharged 3.8.

1. The L67 has a greeter compression ratio, to handle the added boost.
2. the L67 requires and extra drive belt, meaning some pulleys must be swapped.
3. It's very difficult to perform an operation as such.
4. Computer needs to be swapped.

As I said, it's more of a hassle to have a SC on it. If you want to go the Supercharged route, swap a whole engine and you'll save yourself a lot of headaches.
