Depends on what is cheaper/easier. I might just change the car or change the engine. My present car I was doing up for looks but I'm getting bored of that and I want power...power...power Gonna think about this over the next few months plus I'll wait to see how the CRV engine works for G. Could be the next big thing.

I know of someone who's selling a really nice '97 Civic Hatch - you might have seen it - it was the show car for pro-racing at the Motorshow in the RDS. Has a 1.5 Vtec Lump fitted with rear discs!
I'd buy it myself if I didn't need a boot - Damn buggies

You talking about the white one with the carbon bonnet. Sorry not my style It's gonna be a good few months before I can buy anything. I still have to finish paying for my 00 car. I might stick with the saloon as they sold that in VTI and you don't see many of them.

Yea it's something you'll either love or hate! - I personally like it but that's me!
If you stick to a saloon, you'll also be able to transfer any mods you've done

I wouldn't call that engine a lump, implies a lot of power That engine is Hondas infamous VTEC-E engine, economy is it's destiny. 115hp but very hard to upgrade performance wise, I know, I had one. Anyone claiming it to be a beast, give 'em a slap from me :finger:

Yea 'lump' was a bad word to describe
Did Honda make 2 versions of the 1.5 Vtec engine?
I had a 1.5 VTi Jap Import Hatch and I put it up on a RR with an induction kit and exhaust fitted, and it was pushing 130bhp!
Don't think I've ever heard of someone calling it a 'beast' but don't worry they'll feel the back of my hand

Well the 1.5 VTI was an EG Civic, you said this one was a 97 so it's an EK = VTEC-E

Yea I had a EG model alright.
Don't actually know what type engine is in the one for sale as it was originally a 1.4 and he got the 1.5 put in - could very well be the Vtec-E.
