Question Is the back seat big enough for 3 car seats?

I am looking into buying a 2001 SL2 but need to know if I can fit 3 car seats in the back seat.

Has anyone tried this?

I have a newborn(carrier), a regular car seat, and a booster seat for the older kid.

Thanks,

Jon

Thumbs up

Yes,
Three car seats will fit in the back of a SL2 Saturn.
We did this for a little while with out 1999 SL2. Put the regular car seat in the Pass rear side, the infant rear facing in the middle, then the booster on the drivers side. This was the only combination that would fit. The order is decided more by the ability to click and tighten the middle belt from the drivers side. The two outside seats adjust nicely with the built in Saturn recoil. To activate this Saturn safety feature, pull the seat belts out all of the way and then let them recoil slowly and push the seat in to allow the maximum amount of belt to retract into the coil.
I currently race our SL2 on weekends with the SCCA completely stock since we have now moved to a minivan with 4 carseats!
