Angry B-20 Del Sol Popped from West Covina Cop

To anyone who can help:
Recently (like today), I got popped by a West Covina cop for my exhaust. After a minute a two of thinking, he made me pop my hood exposing my turbo and the B-20 motor. After all this headache, he finally gave me a ticket for modification/emissions. He listed that I didn't have CARB numbers for my intake, exhaust manifold (which he mistaked for headers) and not having my PCV connected. I was wondering if anyone had any information on how to pass the smog referee without taking out the B-20 (or if it is even possible). I know I have to take out the turbo and change the brain (that is a given), but I didn't want to go through the trouble of taking out the motor to put my stock SOHC motor back and then swapping it back. If anyone has any information on how to get through the problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

have u tried pretesting the motor with the b20 yet? can't recall the exact wording but this guy told me u can have an engine swap as long as it passes emmission. i was kinda surprised by this fact, but never did do the research to see if this was true or not.

hey, thanks for replying back with some information. i have done some research on engine swaps and if they can pass smog tests. there is a part that says that the engine has to be the same year or newer. i have also heard that some engine swaps have passed (mostly gs-r swaps). do you know if this is true for the b-20?

in most places the motor that u swap has to be from the same year car or newer, otherwise it is illegal emissions and smog wise. so what year car was it from and what year car do u have?

the year of my car is a 94 del sol and the motor is a 97 b-20 motor. do you think it has a chance to pass emissions?

i don't see why it shouldn't pass, unless your car is really messed up. i took mine to the referree and they didn't do anything special as far as checking for modifications. like i said b4 get a presmog inspection first b4 going. if ur worried it might not pass, here are some pointers. flush the radiator fluid (change thermosat if u have time, and knowledge), replace gas cap, change the cat, and get a tune up.
