Exclamation New 944 owner, need your help!

Here is my story:
My husband and I recently purchased a 1985.5 with a blown engine. Got it off an aquaintance for $900.00. My husband has removed the old engine and is replacing it with a rebuilt one we bought online for 800.00 that should be in tomorrow.

My job in this is to clean and restore the interior. It is maroon leather and is in need of alot of help. The drivers seat has alot of tears and the dash has a coulple of cracks.

Please direct me to some websites where I can purchase interior items and/or repair kits. I have never "repaired" an interior before so I need some help.

Thanks in advance:

You can buy a molded dash cover to fix the dash. It is about $80. We put one in and it looks fine for a daily driver. It wouldn't be for a show car.

You can buy new upholstery but it is pricey depending upon color and if it is leather or not. The cheapest is about $400 for the front seats and probably won't match the back. Top of the line upholstery kits (German leahter) go for over $1200 I think. A custom made interior is even higher. I paid about $900 to have VW Thing seats rebuilt, I hate to see what Porsche seats would cost.

To find a supplier, just search the web for 944 parts. There are numerour companies selling the same products. If you can't fins any, reply and I will list the one I use. I can't say they are better or worse than anybody else.

Good luck!

For the seats you might want to check out www.rennbay.com
They have a pretty high quality reupholstery kit.

interior

Call Tweeks for a catalog. 1-888-489-3357. The interior is pricey but a very good product.
