Sticks are more fun for spirited driving, I love banging the gears...

Well, I haven't heard anything about Mustang transmissions failing...well, failing more than usual. But automatic trannies need more maintenance, fluid and filter changes every year. Manual gearboxes can last up to 20 years, and maybe more. Automatics are for fat suckers that like to drive to 7-11 and drink their Slushys and eat their jerky while driving around. Get one with a macho manual shift.

Re: planning to buy

20 or more years? I'd like one of those because my new 3650 took a shit after 1 year of rough shifting.

Easy now!!! There are a few auto guys on this board! Plus it's not wise to change the auto transminssion's fluid and filter every year. Oh and my auto is just as fun to drive as a stick! :

I'm just kidding, but I preffer manual because I love to feel the vibrations of the engine in my hand, and the feeling of power I get from making the engine shift when I want it to. Oooh yeah.

How often should the Tranni fluid be changed?
