high flow mufflers

I am not up on all the performance stuff, so I got a question for you all.

Are there any high flow mufflers available which would be better than a stock muffler for my 94 DX, but not sound like a "fart can"

Yep, the one I like the best is the Apexi World Sport. Very nice quality cat back muffler and it's very quiet. I can hear my turbo whine over it.

they sound expensive, what is the price range on those? where can I buy one? Can I just get the muffler? Will I see a difference without the pipe/just the muffler? I just replaced the pipe from the Cat back to the muffler.

Re: high flow mufflers

When I had my Talon I got a Thermal muffler for $200, and it cost like $50 to get it welded on at a muffler shop. You'll see very very little to no performance gain at all, but it will make some noise but not much compared to that of a full cat-back.

Apexi WS is the best daily driver exhaust that sounds nice and not like a fart can.

here's a photo of it on my civic

Just went to www.nopi.com and found this for price on a 94 civic dx cat back exhaust

001+2558 APEX I World Sports Series Exhaust - DX; EX/Si 2dr - SUS 304 Stainless Steel - Pipe Size: 60.5mm - Tip: 100mm $422.01

I know they make an axle back but the quality of the piping from the cat back is excellent. Probably the last muffler you will ever put on that car.

Maybe get it for cheaper elsewhere but that was the first place I looked.

Thanks. I will look into one of those soon. I am waiting until my current muffler is junk though. I think I can slide it through inspection this time around.

If that is your car, it looks pretty good.
