Krylon Fusion on my integra console - looks great!

I have seen a few posts about painting interior peices. I thought I would give my ! I bought my integra console from 2 seperate places. The front was black and the back piece was brown. Obviously I wasn't going to put it into my hatch that way. So, I did some research and this is what I did. I painted everthing black with Krylon Fusion. I used 2 whole cans of it, it was about 10 coats! Go very thin on your coats. After the first 3-4 coats you can lightly sand out any rough spots or gouges in the plastic. Then add the rest of your coats. After the last coat, I waited about 2-3 hours and put on some high gloss exterior clear acrylic. Again I used 2 whole cans of it. This put a hard-as-hell coating on it to prevent chips and scratches. It looks great, I haven't installed it yet. I will post some pics when it is installed. The fusion and acrylic both say to wait 7 days for full curing and it will be chip free. If I do it over(I am thinking about it) this is what I would change. I want to fill in the seam where the stock radio bezel meets the integra console. I would put on 3-4 coats of fusion, sand this to roughen it up and then I would put a few coats of primer over the seam and I would use a few thin coats of bondo, sand it smooth and then put the rest of the fusion and acrylic on it. I think it would look awesome and definetly more factory without the seam. I would also fill the seam on the radio bezel, there is a seam between the main plastic piece and the metal piece that surrounds the radio and heating knobs. It would look like 1 whole peice and completely smooth! I would also NOT use high gloss acrylic. It is shinny as hell. I think I would use the satin finish, this too would make it look a little more factory. Well there is my

bondo does not stick to ABS plastic. it will fall off. you need to find a product that bonds to plastic. a body shop can help you with this. there is a product for repairing ABS bumpers. you will need to use that.
