daytime running lights??

Is there any one out there that knows how to turn off daytime running lights on a 97 GT. I got headlight covers and it would look better if the lights were off. Also once unhooked are the automatic lights going to work still.

Any help would be good.

I'm pretty sure on 97-98's you simple pull the DRL fuse

and on 99+ you have to mess with a relay
