Bad Bad Bad Milage....

Before O2 sensor - average 20mpg.
2 weeks ago.... new o2 sensor and oil change - 25mpg ! That baby shot up. This week..... its down to 18.8 mpg.

George says its clogged EGR tube. I have NO IDEA how the hell i get this thing off. I know where it is.... Just not how to dismantle it to check for cloggage.

George's friend Lou says a clogged EGR tube actually gets 2-3 mpg better.... for some oddball reason.

Either way...... im tired of bad milage. Wheres my leftover 10mpg DAMNIT!....

Phil

P.S. If worst comes to worst. (2 weeks from now).... I'm going to the dealer. Yea.... you heard me. The dealer. THE DEALER. Or so help me god.......

Is your gas tank leaking?

No, George says it may be a clogged EGR tube.

You'll be sorry. Most of the techs are totally clueless. You'd be better off to find a decent independent mechanic and take him the stuff from SE-R.net by Andy Radin.

With a match of course.

I'M KIDDING!

I think if you had a leak, you'd know by now. That was supposed to be a joke. But check the ground under your tank just to be sure.... without the match.

No, George likes to speak as three people (he's schitzophrenic).

Besides me (since I'm not for hire)?

I'm totally unfamiliar with your area. You could try Scott's over on the Katy Freeway that I posted about before. Other than that, I can't help much.

Well you have an ECU its the "brains" of the car...it sits on the floor by gas pedal behind the panel on the right of that.

You can do a search about how to get ECU codes on here, or on the SE-R archives.

Take your car to a Nissan dealer, they tend to screw you less than Infiniti dealers.
