Bonneville 94, stalling
Hello,
I just bought a clean Bonneville 94 (189 000km) and it keeps stalling at anytime in any condition. First... The problem always occur in the morning when the engine is cold. It's start, run for about 15 sec... hesitate a little, turn slower and slower then finaly stops... In order to restart the engine I've to turn the key completely off (not juste start again!), and the car will start and run for an other 15 second... I've to do this 4 or 5 times before everything goes well. If I don't turn the key completely off, the engine keep on winding but won't start... just like if the fuel doesn't make it to the engine... Second... The engine also stop at anytime... when it's hot, cold, idle fast or slow, stop or rolling.... I've always to turn the key all the way off to start the engine again... It doesn't help at all if I push or pump the gaz pedal when it come close to a stall... Thanks for your help folks... I love this car... and wich to give my mechanic a little help with your suggestions... Sincerely P.a.

Dying Bonneville
My previous 94 started doing this and it was the Fuel pump. Also Change the fuel pump RELAY under the dash. That went out on me too at a different time and was only $5 to replace.

Thanks for the help... I'll give the tip to my mechanic in a couple of minutes...!!! I'm heading to the garrage right now... *** Also forget to tell you that the orange color "Check Gage" light turned on when it's append... I'll follow up with new comments ...! Bye P.a.

My check gage light would come on and sometimes the car would "ding" twice when it would die to. That is just telling you ..."hey, something is wrong with the Oil pressure, Temp, or Alternator" In this case probably Oil pressure loss.

Stalling Probleme Solved !!!
Problem solved !!!
That was the Fuel Pump !!! and I'm glad it's OK now... The mechanics told me that there was a lot of rust pieces in the bottom of the fuel thank and that's probably why the fuel pump was going crazy at any time... The rust came from the filling pipe that he change to... (He also clean the thank... it was smelling gaz like hell in the garage ! ... I'm glad they did that for me). So case close... hope this will help... Thanks for everything... I'll come back to keep in touch with you budys... P.a.
