Question Is it worth it?

hey I figured I would give you all my info and my circumstances and see what you all think I should do.
Im looking at getting a 93 vr-4. The guy is selling it for 8000. It has 130xxx miles on it. The car has never seen snow. I live in northern minnesota and if i buy the car now im going to store it for this winter and just put comp on it. The lowest price for insurance that i have been able to get is about 220 or so a month for full coverage. Im a 17 year old male and I will be purchasing the car and paying for everything on it myself. I have been working 3 jobs since may and have saved up about 2500 (I spent some fixing up my current daily driver--a 1973 olds 98 with the 455 rocket and th400) and during the school year here i work abut 40-45 hours a week. I can afford the car and insurance and my plan is to pay off the car by about may and then start driving it. What do you think that I should do? Is the car really worth it? As far as ive read (and ive done tons of research) it seems to be. Thanks! I want to stress the fact that im buying the car myself by my own hardwork and not just getting it paid for by my parents like many kids do.

8K for a 93 that is in great shape is a pretty fair deal. You might be able to find something a bit less expensive, but that all depends on the cars condition.

If you can get the car stored away and payed off in May then you'll be ok. I've always been of the opinion that school age kids shouldn't get cars that suck up all their money. You're going to want to do other things then drive so if you're comfortable with paying the car off and still have some $$ left over then you're doing better then most.

If you get it, be sure to post us up some pics.

I very much agree, just remember to check the out before you get excited and make the pruchase. If they are the original turbos on the car they are near the end of their life, so figure that into the price.

Good Luck
