I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima with 67,000 miles on it.
When I left work and started my car it was idling very rough kind of chugging although the RPMs were not kicking up and down. When I drove the car it would chug during acceleration and just before I would come to a complete stop. My Service Engine light stated blinking for about 10 seconds and then stopped. About five minutes later the problem went away and did not return for two days. Yesterday morning when I stared my car there was quite a bit of exhaust visible and it sounded a little rough but not as bad as the day it was running funny. I did not drive the car then but took my wife’s car instead. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? Thank You |

Yes indeed it was one of the ignition coils. I brought it to the dealer and just got the call that one of the coils was causing the error.
Thanks for posting to my question. |
