Power steering belt

My girlfriend's son owns a 1990 Grand Prix, 4 cyl that needs a new power steering belt. Is this something I can tackle myself or do I need special tools/knowledge?

Re: Power steering belt

You should be able to change it yourself. You will need a ratchet and a socket to rotate the belt tensioner, and you need to know the routing of the belt so that you put it back in the same way. It's also important to get the right belt (either one for a car with AC or one for a car without AC).

Thank you! I'm somewhat mech. inclined, but not a Mr Goodwrench by any Sense. The belt is "gone" and I'm not sure of the routing...any help?
