smoke after oil change when idling
Can someone help me to understand why my newly purchased talon would smoke only after an oil change. I am afraid I purchased a lemon, because one friend suggests its a head gasket. (white smoke, moisture)
But it did not smoke as we looked it over to purchase. Only after the seller did an oil change before we took it off the lot. Any ideas? |

Re: smoke after oil change when idling
I believe you should have it looked at by a professional, it could be an oil leak, leaking into or onto the exhaust. Try it out. Hopefully you have a lemon law in your state.

I had the same problem with my 95 talon. Got an oil change and it smoked. Does it smell like youre burning oil? Go buy that STP stop oil burning stuff and put it into your oil. Its only like 2.99 and it doesnt hurt your car at all. If it doesnt stop after that, check to see if you have a blown head gasket. White smoke = moisture in the combustion chamber
