On the passenger side of the car there is a pannel under the glove box alongside the right side of the car. Remove that and that is the computer. On the computer there will be two hex screws on the computer holding down a access pannel. remove that and ther will be two chips the one you are looking for is the EPROM chip ( the bigger one.) and that is the one. As far as making the car go faster, Im not shure. I know that the chip controlls timing and fuel and other such stuff. Unless you are modding your car to run more boos or as such I don't think you need another chip. If you are going to mod your car the first thing you should get before even worrying about anything elese is a scanmaster or other type of scan tool to watch your o2 readings and knock ect. ect. Mine has deffinataly kept me from blowing up my car.

MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG THE ORANGE WIRE AT THE BATTERY BEFORE CHANGING CHIPS!!!!! A good chip will raise timing as well as boost, therefore making the car faster. As long as you have the gas to handle the chip. Also, like Hypsi said, a scan tool is VERY important. A lot easier than headgaskets. Call Red Armsrtong at Quad Air or check TurboBuick.com to learn more than you care to know about chips, as well as your Turbo Buick
