1995 Integra 159k?

There is a 1995 Integra with 159k miles on it for $3600. I'm thinking about buying this car. This would be my first car and I want to know how long these cars run for. The body appears to be in good physical condition. It's an automatic transmission, which doesn't both me. Are their parts that I should replace if I did buy it? I have good mechanical experience but not with cars. I have lots of 2 and 4-stroke engine experience so I am fairly confident I could replace some engine parts.

i would do timing belt, water pump, oil, spark plug, and spark plug wires if the car engine isnt run to hell you should be able to see maybe 200k to 220k before you have to replace the motor but if they ran it hard you might have to replace it in 100 miles or maybe 20k it hard to tell thats one of the bad things about buying a used car but i will say this the miles seem a little high but for your first car maybe its not so bad are you getting it from a dealer or buying it from a person??

I was going to buy it from a person, not a dealer. I agree. I don't really want to even buy anything that has over a 100 k, preferably under 80k but it's hard. There is a place called CARMAX by me and they have this 95 Integra with 47k miles on it, PERFECT condition, automatic tranmissions, a dream, but it's $9,850 or so.

I would also put a new distributer cap and rotor on as well. If you take it to a shop to have new plugs and wires on, alot of the times they will automatically do that, but if you plan on doing all the work your self I would make sure and do that as well as everything listed above. if the car has been maintained well, and you treat it well, I could see you getting up to 300K from it, but like mentioned above, it is hard to say. but I do have friends with honda's and acura's that have gotton 300K without a problem!
