|
How to stop orange peel
Hey, i just got a Revel Lightning(which sucks, nothing fits very well) but i tried P-mans painting with out primer trick and when i sprayed the car i got hundreds or little blobs of paint. anyone know the best way to get rid of it, but more importantly how to stop it from happening. thanks max

What kind of paint are you using? How are you spraying it? If you're using an airbrush are you thinning the paint?
Are you thinning the paint enough? How far from the model are you spraying? Where did you find P-man's 'no primer trick'? Did you read the FAQ? Did you look through the 'How to and Tutorial thread? Did you wash the body before you started spraying. There are so many causes to why paint goes wrong and anything from preparation of the surface to paint type can be a factor.

I also bought the Lightning kit and am doing a body drop and lowering job on it but so far I have not sen any errors in fit it just takes the normal sanding and cutting to align everything I have heard about people running into an issue with the bed and tailgate before but nothing a hobby knife and sanding can't fix.

Without primer I don't think I could ever get a good finnish.
you just have to sand the spraypaint out and the give the body a little good sanding or use some primer
