Avatars arnt Working!?
I tried uploading a new avatar today and it wouldnt let me, u know how it says 100 pixels max? Well now it say 0 pixels max??!! Anyone know why? Can MODS fix it or does Igor have to? Thanx

avatar don'T work anymore. and all the picture that was uploaded the old way are deleted... this make this forum useless for old post research....

Indeed...
It's a sad thing happening to the forum. I just hope they will restore it like it was, and have the upload function back, and running as before, as I think we 've got a lot of catching up to do around here picture-wise. Olivier

I've pretty much given up hope that this forum or it's servers will ever be running correctly, backed up correctly, or giving the service that we would like.
It's a thankless job to run a site like this for little income, and we're just tagging along for the ride. It's a free service, so expect what you pay for. Seems like the new servers aren't doing what we wanted them to do, the site's slow and full of bugs. While I enjoy the site, I'm not inclined to send $$ to pay for it unless it's working properly, which is only about 5% of the time.

Well, to be honest, I love the AF, or shall I say the old af, with it's massivelyhuge database of build ups, tips, and pics..
Now , IF, and this is a big IF , If the site will never be the sae again,then for me , it will cease of being my nr. one source of inspiration. THat got me thinking, not to sound very ungrateful, but is there another site that does the same thing the old AF does? , I don't think so, so the best thing we could do is to just hang on ... BTW, what is the new server status again, and what are upcoming plans for it ? or will it just remain this pile of dry text, with no such thing as uploading pics? I think only time will tell ... well, momre time for modeling , though? olivier

It a real pity if the old pics are gone
This forum worked so well as a database for modeling projects, kit reviews etc but now with the pictures deleted there's not much point in the old threads and it may also disencourage people from making new detailed threads of their projects if they may be useless after a moment. I really hope the old pics are somewhere safe just waiting to be used again when the servers are updated (or whatever needs to be done). This forum has given me very much useful information and hopefully it will do so also in the future. Without an own credit card I haven't been able to give financial support for the forum but I promise to do so the moment I get a card if the forum is still worth supporting then. -Mikko

I like AF alot, but dang... this problem has got to be fixed soon cuz all our pictures of our old threads are to waste....
I dont know if the "How to" thread still works, but if it doesnt this really sucks for everyone cuz everyone at leaste uses it sometime, i do. We want out AVATARS and UPLOADING link to work!

As for my post, I have all back up images on my pc, so anyone who needs pics to be restored, let me know, and I'll use my own web space, and edit my link.

well i hate that we keep having these problems, but do we need a new thread in here every time that some thing doesnt work?

I am a mere noob here but what I can't understand is how can a few mods. post a thread about creating decals (spending $$$$) when we can't even keep an image database? Link
Speaking of images......someone did a C5 Corvette about 2 months ago in a gunmetal gray with some nice 19" wheels. Does anyone have any pictures? They use to be in the gallery section. Thanks a bunch.
