Water pump gasket?

Hey greg was saying he got a gasket for his water pump... When I got my ZC it didnt have one, it was just honda bonded on... So thats what I did, I honda bonded the fucker back on... I have to take off my lower timing cover to fetch some nuts that fell in there and I was wondering if its realy nessisary.

Re: Water pump gasket?

It wouldn't be there in the first place if it wasnt necessary. Honda Bond is good stuff but I wouldn't trust it for sealing the water pump, a small leak over time will cause the t/belt to get weak & eventually break. A broke timing belt is always a good thing, what does the gasket/o-ring cost? couple bucks?

Did your friend know the bolts were in there?
If he did, your friend is a MORON!

I know a guy who dropped a wing nut down inside the carb. & thought it would be OK to start - Sucked that nut right in the engine & caused all types of damage fuckin' people
