electrical system
i have a 2000 tacoma. recently i began to hear a whine through my stereo speaker. the whine directly correlates to my rpm. The same day, when i tried to start the truck the electrical system seemed to reset. If youve had any of the same trouble, id like to know what you did.

stereo+wining
The wining noise that you hear is caused from noise sent through a ground. In most cases its caused by the alternator... You can simply fix this by buying a 20amp of higher noise filter aka. ground loop isolator. you simply instal it between the stereo deck and it's power supply. It will come with instructions. It can be bought for 15-25$ at Radio Shack or any stereo biss... I had the same prob. with my van, but I'm runnig around 2000 watts altogether. It solved most of the noise. If you have any add-on amp's you should get in-line ground loop isolaters for each circut. Also check to see if your ground(s) are in one place. They shoud be. Or at least as close to the battery as posible. Seanner
