Engine swap

I just paid off my 2001 elantra and wanted to start modifying. Does anyone know if there are any engine swaps for this car? I looked into Alpine super chargers but HP only went to about 170. Would like to get to the 240hp range.

get an alpine turbo kit. The beta is about the best engine u can get for ur car. Without dropping alot of money for a 4g63t. Turning an engine around is expensive.

if you want to build it to get 250 out of it, replace internals with lower compression pistons, have your cran and cams micropolished, the bored out and sleved and slap a turbonetics t3/t3 hybrid on there and you will be getting at leasat 300hp

yeah... because he has around 5 grand to finish that conversion. It it was a 95 or old elantra it would be easy sence the motor is a mitz still. After 95 hyundai turned it around and changed the wiring/mounting systems. Good luck.
