46g3 vs 420a

[Dude weres my dsm?]

I got a eclipse rs, it come stock with the 420a, i was wondering if i could put a 4g in it, but take off the 4g's turbo manifold and put headers... i kinda got raped by my insurence company "...You cannot have a Turbocharged car, Supercharged car, or any of the following,
Supra, WRX STi, Evo8, GSX, GST, 5.0 V8, 3000gt, Integra Type R... or any muscle cars" I think this is kinda bs but hey what can i do? and my parents are not switching insurence things so im screwed, but back to the subject, Is it possable to put a 4g w/o turbo in my RS?
Any help would be greatly apreciated!

It is possible to put a 4g63 in your car but the money that it will involve will probably buy two turbo models. If your set on a fast car but your insurance company's being dicks, just turbo your 420a. It won't be as fast as a 4g63 but it'll still be fast. www.hahnracecraft.com

hmm yeah thats true, i think ima either turbo my 420a or do all motor, hmmm its a tuff choice, and btw my insurence company is one of those kinds that take your car to a shop and have the car checked to see if theres a turbo, so i dont think that will work, altho i really do like the "Phiiiiiiiissssssssssht" sound, the gsx is over rated i think, it weighs nearly 1000lbs more than a RS and its only got 210hp sure it can accerlate really fast but if u matched a RS with 210hp all motor, the RS would beat it right? hmm ill have to look into it, my friends are all honda people and like "sell the mitsu, get a honda, mitsu's suck" lol yeah well my mitsu will beat your honda lol, but anyway this dude said i could push 300hp if i did all motor, is he just bs'n me? or is he tellin the truth? if so how much would i be lookin to spent to get it there, thanks for the help

Push 300hp all-motor, not hardly. Most I've ever heard was like 190hp. Too bad about your insurance company.
As far as a turboed 420a taking a stock turbo 4g63, yes that is possible but turbo 4g63's have much, much more potential in the long run.
But a turboed 420a's nothing to scoff at.

haha, how much would it cost to get the RS to 210 HP??? put that money into a GSX, i think the GSX will still be running faster. and another thing. the GSX is a superior platform. i am not saying your RS cant be fast,anything can be fast with enough money, but a GSX can make more power, more reliably, cheaper, and easier, and put it to the ground more effectivly. That sucks about your insurance company, i would be looking for a new one. my insurence was a real bitch there for a while, $1600 for 6 months of coverage on my GSX, and i havn't ever even been pulled over(knock on wood). but i went and talked to my banker and he let me drop it to liability. he kicks ass.

lol gsx.... My DREAM lol ive always dreamed about having a gsx, but recent studying, i found out that they weigh about 1000lbs more than a rs, RS = 2740 GSX = 3535 well mabey 800lbs, but why is that? is it because the Drive shafts/extra cvc joints and shyt lol hmm it could be lightend, alot, yeah, ima think ima save my money for a 2G gsx lol ill post some pics of my car on here soon lol i know this guy, hes got a GST its White Black Factory rims, he has about 550hp runnin on a bottle of nitrous hes running like high 10s low 11s he also put 10g's in the motor alone,. lol he put more than the car is worth lmao, but the worst thing he did.... was he put a Blitz body kit on it, painted orange flames, and put a BIG...... BLACK......... WING! EWWWWWWWW omg, lol i put a "Rice Cops" Ticket on his window, but hey you cant really cal him Rice, because he IS fast, hmm oh well, lol anyone know what a Stock GSX will run in the 1/4?

I've seen a few stock gsx's around here run high 14's with good drivers, and others in the low 15's.

hmm ok i believe you since you have one lol or know alot about em. i just went from the specs off this one site, my rs i weighed it and it weighs, 2740,. i was like holy shit! but anyway whats 400 more pounds? you get 2 more tires spinning

190 hp in a NA eclipse is optimistic IMO...but Jake is much better equipped to answer that.
