Adding an Intake Filter onto the stock tubing?

Is it possible to just take off the air box and add an air filter like K&N to the tubing? If so, I think I'll consider doing it.

I just cut the bottom off my stock air box and got a K&N drop in filter. Works good.

we used any air filter. i think that particular filter orginally came with a cheap ass intake bought on ebay. it's safe to assume it's a cheap ass filter
