Motor Problem or Transmission?
whats the deal guys? Its me again, the one with bad luck and a troubled Civic.
Well anyways, on my spare time, I decided to take my car to the Transmission shop and get it checked out. The Specialist took my car for a run and said that it wasn't the TORQUE CONVERTER (transmission) thats causing my car to run sluggish (hesitate when giving it gas at normal temperature reading), but that it was the motor. He also mentioned that there was KNOCKING coming from the Top-end of the motor when its at idle and he wasn't the only guy who pointed this out to me. Do you guys think that the Knocking & Hesitation are related to each other? By the way, the compression test was a little bit low but ok accordin to the Honda dealership, the guys who also noticed the knocking coming from the motor. I dont know what the problem really is and there is no way im gonna go on and do something about it unless figure this bullshit out. Please help a poor guy out. This shit is so frustrating

Was it knocking or valve tapping? I have heard a lot of cars with valve tapping which would not be too much to worry about!

dude you've got a dead, or dying, engine....same thing happened in a saturn that my dad owned(same symptoms), if its the same deal you might wanna look into a new engine or atleast a top end rebuild
