Mileage Report
Greetings,
I just wanted to share some info regardling the mileage I got on a recent 257 mile trip. (2002 I35) I kept the speed to 68-70 MPH and ran the AC during the drive. I filled the tank before heading out. After a 257 mile run, all highway miles, I filled the tank again. It worked out to an impressive 29.2 miles per gallon. That's the best mileage to date. The car has 14,500 miles on it and I run Mobil One oil. The last time I checked the mileage by the amount of gas it used I got an even 27 miles to the gallon. That run was about 95% highway and some city driving. I've noticed the trip computer tends to give me a higher MPG reading when compared to the amount of gas the car actually burns. During a short highway drive today (the AC was off) the trip computer showed a reading of 33 MPG. Anyway, anything above 26-27 MPG is just fine with me. Anyone out there getting similar or better gas mileage? Regards, Shortimer |

hah, I get roughly 16-18 mpg, but it is 95% city driving...2000 i30, I suppose the modified intake and exhaust would have something to do with it, but I cannot see it being this much reduced. The manual gives its specs over 30mpg...
poor poor car
