Engine

The 2.8 liters are not v6 there 4 bangers , and engine mods you can do mostly every thing the best would be 12 drop in a 350 small block.

Re: Performance mods on a 92 sonoma

first of all drake.....your a moron......2.8 IS a v6 engine for the sonoma.......if you think you can prove me wrong go down to your local autozone and look at thier Haynes manual......they have all the listings of engines for every engine made for the sonoma. Advice......... Research before you post genius.

Re: Performance mods on a 92 sonoma

sorry i was thinking ford made the smallest V6 cause i have a budy that has either a 3.0 or a 3.2

turbo sonomas last post was probably directed to me , calmly letting me know some information that I did not know.

aswell how about you calm down , I was not marking my words in stone , if you look again my first words were " i am pretty sure", "pretty" beeing the eye catcher there , and my last words were "i cant remember exactly " and when i said that i was hinting for someone who could possibly update me with more corect info.

beeing that you like to state who you are talking to , and did not say anyhting about krk , calling me first a moron or whatever no your post was not reffering to krk , since most of your post went on to try urge me to challenge your statement !

next time make sure everyone knows who you are talking to " moron "

Re: Performance mods on a 92 sonoma

yea i'll second that the 2.8l is a v6, Hey sonomaracing checkout a website called www.LMCtruck.com they have a few good performance parts, i've got the 2.5l 4cyl in my 91 and i rebuilt it and added new rods forged pistons and diffrent cam, with steel timnig gears and am pushing 197hp rwhp without the 75shot of nitrous oxide i'm satisfied with that out of a 4cyl

Re: Performance mods on a 92 sonoma

Calm down guys.

For performance, install an aftermarket muffler.

I highly recommend the Ravin z55 or z55 which can be bought at midas.

DON'T INSTALL A FLOWMASTER!

They are proven to flow worse than the stock muffler.

Other than that, install a K&N drop in air filter and call it a day.
