Civic Vs Eclipse

How would a 2000 Honda Civic Ex Coupe compare to a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS?? (both are stock).

How much HP does the Eclipse have??

Which would win?

Really I think its even cuz the rs eclipse sucks. I see them stock at tracks running like 16.5 mas o menos. You should be able to keep up with him or beat him I think.

eclipses weigh in at a porky 3100 lbs. Im not sure about your 2000 civic, but my 91 civic weighs 2180lbs with full interior minus driver....

the civic would win.

Eclipse RS weight = 2,723
Eclipse RS HP = 140
Eclipse RS Tq = 130

Overall in reliability id take the Honda any day of the week. As for if your going for a sporty/ nice look id take the eclipse.

Comes down into a race that the eclipse does have more TQ than the civic does and more HP, thus a more potent engine to tune. Yet the Civic has a smaller engine, yet is very light. I believe the RS will win. Yet it wont destroy the Civic. It will be a close race. As for tunability The RS would be the car of choice concidering its possibilies of ripping parts off used GSX/GST parts. Relatively Cheap to do. T25s go for 150 dollars now a days with only 50k miles on em.

Ok but who gives a shit about these numbers. Eclipse suck, known fact. I will take on any eclipse in my car no matter how modded up it looks, I know what my car can do to it. 95 civic ex has more options and its just honda. Besides the evo, what car has mitsu came out with that is any good? None in my mind. But hey, again its all about personal opinion. I would go with a civic any day over the eclipse. Plus eclipses are ugly and everyone that has them goes with that same ugly ass blitz body kit that they saw in F&F.

yeah I like the look of pretty much any civic better than an eclipse... and i have seen more than my fair share of broken down @ss eclipses
