Rough Idle for my 1990 300zx
I havent taken it to a mechanic yet, but I was curious if anyone else ever came accross this, or had any ideas? The car has about 70,000 miles, and runs really good at higher rpms but at idle it is rough, and taking off feels like it is missing til the rpms come up or the turbo comes on.
Thanks for any info |

I've put some fuel injector cleaner in my gas and it seems to have helped some so far my car's an 86' with 190,000 miles on it so i'm sure i'll need two bottles of the stuff

Rough Idle
I have a 90 300z that had the same problem. I had a mechanic work with me to find out the problem. We changed plugs, ran injector thru it, and tested just about everything. What we found with mine was this, the oil pressure guage would drop to 0-10 psi when it was at idle, that is when it would run bad. I change the ooil pressure switch and it cured it. So if your oil pressure is low then you may wnat to change the switch. I bought mine from Nissan direct about $60. If you need a part number let me know. Good luck

Check the throttle position sensors. The connections might be corroded and not making good contact sending the ECU the wrong readings.
You might also want to check over your vacuum lines for a possible vacuum leak. |
