Unhappy ignition troubles

I just got done replaceing the clutch on my wifes 93 metro and after getting everything put back together I went to start it and all I get is some humming/buzzing noise.I can't really pinpoint where it is coming from?
Desperetly seeking help, Thanks!

What wires did you disconnect? Check them all. On my 914 Porsche there is a transmission ground strap that is often overlooked when re-installing the transaxle for clutch jobs. It is a common cause of starting problems. I bet your Metro has a ground strap too.

If it's a clicking noise, it may be the starter solenoid cycling due to low battery voltage.

There was a trans axle ground strap but I did connect it, and the noise is more of a buzz or humm not a click. That's what makes it so confuseing to me. I checked all the wires to the starter and they are all connnected aswell.
Thanks for the advice.

Is it possible you mis-aligned the clutch or something wasn't seated properly and is binding up or stuck? The starter would not be able to spin the engine. When you turn the key to start, do the lights and everything get dim? Have you tried jumping the starter solenoid or using a remote starter switch?
