Hello...

Hey guys I just thought I would drop in here and ask a few questions... I am getting harped on like a mother fucker from these haters across the street from me becase I own a honda. First of all, can a 1989 5.0 run a 13.3 second 1/4 mile completly stock? I am talking stock tires exaust, everthing... Cause these asswipes are telling me this pos they have runs 13's, they seem to me like the ricers of domestics that probably give you guys a bad name... I realy dont know thats why i am asking (secondly they dont apear to know there assholes from there cocks when it comes to motors)
I like all kinds of cars, but I bought my honda about two years ago to get me around... I cought the go fast bug and since I am relitivly broke I descided to work with what I had and import a dual cam non vtec motor from japan for $750 shiped (No vtec, I dont like that crap) It puts out 130 hp and 118 ft lbs stock (I know thats not much compared to your engines with over twice the displacment, but my car is also gutted and weaghs only 1900 Lbs)
Since I got the motor I descided hey, why not build it up some. Well, some turned into alot as you might have guessed and I ended up rebuilding the whole damn thing. I want to know what kind of a chance I stand against these guys in my honda. Like I said I like all kinds of cars, I just want to shut these gtuys the fuck up quick!

The head has a Port and Polish that I did myself, it was also decked surfaced and all that whatnot at a verry secret import shop that does mostly domestic stuff (makes sense right?) Im oldschool, if it works for an 8, it will work for a four.
Stainless steel valves and a custom valve train
Web Racing camshafts
Wisco/Endyn 11.5:1 pistons
Eagle rods
Jun adjustable cam gears
RC 270cc injectors
Act pressure plate with a clutch masters carbon kevlar disk and 8Lb clutchmaster flywheel
msd ignition coil, box, and distributor
Dc headers and a custom 2.25" exaust
I made a 3" intake for it
its been stroked to a whoping 94mm! WOW. Lol.
and I uped the displacement to a whoping 1700cc's <--- Thats alot right? JK.
The block was milled and everything was balanced...
My compression should be about 12.2:1 or so...
I am using a thiner head gasket+milled head/block and the pistons to acheave this... MLS (Mr. Gasket) head gasket.
and lastly an S-afc (Fuel management computer) to fux with the fuel.

Let me know what you guys think... Can I take these asswipes stock mustang or should I just leave it alone?
I dotn come in here much so you can email me your responces @ [email protected] and if you feel inclined to flame the hell out of me for owning a honda (God forbid) go ahead and do it in here, I dont want to read that shit in my emails.
Thanks, Seth.

I dunno why a Honda person would name off specs in a Mustang room but ok...

There have been rumors of stock 89-93 GTs doing 13s but as far as low 13s on motor is concerned, serious BULLSHIT is called.

On a bottle, with nothing done to the car, sure, its possible.

DC and Jun are the only companies I have named that dont make equaly respectable parts for mustangs... Thats why the list of crap...
I expect to put about 160-170 to the round with this set up, and about 140+ ft lbs of torque if that easier for you to understand... So about 200 hp at the crank.
I was also concidering a 75 shot of nitrous from the Zex kit that everyone seems to be having good luck with.

So yea, these guys are full of shit, thats what I thought... what does a 89 5.0 normaly run BONE stock? Maybe like 14.5 or so?

Well, i have no idea how fast does a stock do a 1/4, ill tell you in 6 days when i get mine.
I would enjoy flaming you but you seem to be not that bad.
Anyways, why not do a simple calculation.
1 Compare your and his tyres.
2 Comepare the milage.
3 The HP, You got 200, he got about 230.
4 Compare the weight, you got ????, he got lets say 3000 lbs.

So if you got 1,2 and 4 Better then the stangs, then he is beatable.

If im wrong, someone tell me.

P.S. Didnt you try to do a 1/4 mile, if you did, how fast???

#1 The Camaro is out, it can't handle the heat of this country.
#2 So much for "The Camaro is out...", I found one which is tuned to handle the heat and its 1995 for 2.5K, its not my final decision though.
#3 Camaro is out, someone bought it before me.
#4 Found a 300ZX 1986 in good condition for 2400, will take it for a check up on thursday.

I'm going to assume this Mustang has high miles and no rebuild at all. So assuming that mid 14's to low 15's is what he would probably run

That's what I was going to say too.

The only way I can see a stock motored 5.0 hitting the 13's is if it's a notchback, that has suspension mods and sticky tires.
For your Honda, you have pretty high compression, and are very light weight. That should help you against the torque of the 5.0 off the line. I have a feeling in a higher speed race the Mustangs stock gearing and more hp will his top speed. I do think it will be a goog race though.
I think that's what you came here looking for.

All you had to say was "I am going to make about this much..."

All in all, a stock GT should be beatable. Most of them do low 15s anyways.

No problem... I should have the engine running today or tomorow and I still have the 1000 mile break in but as soon as I feel the car is ready I will let you guys know how it goes.
I apriciate your responces and am glad to see you guys are open minded, alot of V8 guys talk tons of shit on how slow four cylinders are compared to V8's with more than twice the displacement and twice the cylinders... Its like comparing apples and potatoes. But I think I can take this guy, I just want them to stfu.
