Question Hoods and fenders for CRX's

I am replacing the messed up hood and fenders on my new CRX, and I wondered if there is a difference between the 88-89's and the 90-91's. Mine is a 90, and I have a chance to pick some up cheap off an 88. Any input?

I also need to know if there were any DX's that came with MPFI in the CRX. My car looks like the MPFI came stock in it, or else the guy who had it before me did a complete swapover with all the harnesses from an Si. Any ideas?

Thanks guys and gals!

Re: Hoods and fenders for CRX's

Well, I am not sure. The guy I got it from said it was a DX, but it doesn't have much left to tell from. It has a ZC trans, ZC hubs/spindles, ZC axles, GS-R leather seats, a momo knockoff steering wheel, an EX cluster... You get the drift. Do you know how to read the vin to find out?

Re: Hoods and fenders for CRX's

just checked the vin, and sure enough, there's a 5 there. I also took another look at the wiring out of the firewall, and it is a custom connector that goes up to the injectors, but it looks totally stock, and fooled me at first glance. My problem now will be figuring out how it is pinned!!

Any ideas on the fenders and hood??

how certain are you that it has "zc axles". the DOHC ZC came with an intermediate shaft and equal length axles, unlike ever USDM D series sohc engine. check to see if you have equal length axles and an intermediate shaft, and if not, you got "the shaft"

the hoods should interchange, but the fenders will not, unless you change the corner lenses too.

Re: Hoods and fenders for CRX's

That's what I was afraid of. Stinking little changes.
