CAM position sensor
I recently had the intake manifold gaskets replaced. I now get a P1345 code. The mechanic replaced the crankshaft position sensor, but the error still occurs.
I think has to be due to the distributor being removed and affecting the CAM position sensor. The truck runs fine, but I would like to fix this sensor error. I have a scanner to clear the code, but it returns upon starting the engine, but does not come on while the engine is running. Any suggestions??? |

Re: CAM position sensor
Your cam sensor is part of the distrubitor!! Installing it wrong or off time will cause your code to set. HAVE THE ENGINE RE-TIMED!!

Re: Re: CAM position sensor
To add to what Flatrater said, you cannot time the engine with a timing light, you will need to set it with a scan tool and read the CAM sensor offset.
