Headunit

I just busted the cd player on my old head unit and am looking to get a new one, I want something that doesn't cost much, plays MP3s and will not skip at high bass volumes(problem I have had) Any suggestions?

Re: Re: Headunit

Pioneer is very good. I've heard no complaints about bass-skipping and I've never experienced it myself

tons of features, 6V preouts, awesome display, 2 year warranty, plays mp3s and cdrw, etc. Mine was $270 shipped I believe.

This look good to you guys? I am going to be slamming the hell out of my 2 15"s in a moderately huge sized box at 800 watts rms each, so I hope this can handle the anti-shock, one of my 15"s made my current head unit skip with a underpowered amp

just a thought

I have the second edition JVC Khamelion. It has been a good cd player with plenty of rca's. I got it off of e-bay at 1/3 the price. I had no skipping from bass, with my eclipse 12s. But since last summer I hooked 2 chains from the deck to the firewall. And now one channel on the origional wire outputs is causing a drain on my battery. I think I can correct it by hooking it back up to an 4-ch amp for the front & rear with the line outs.(Rca's) Seanner

Ps. Alltogether I have 3000 watts pushing.

somehow I doubt that, especially if you're running your speakers off of your headunit
