Question Audio Help

Anyone know if an adaptor exists to convert my steering wheel audio controls on my Nissan Almera 1.8 to operate an aftermarket unit? Am I restricted to using the (pretty cack) line fit? Given that Clarion make the Line Fit, would they make an adaptor interface? Any help would be appreciated.

The Wiring loom converter exists (it's the same as the one for the Primera) and the facia adaptor kit exists also, so it's just this last stumbling block. I really want to keep the feature as I've become so used to it.

Incidentally from an ex P10GT owner, enjoy your awesome motors. Primeras Rule!!!!

I don't think it's possible to "port over" the audio controls, unless the clarion remote is wired, not wireless... Then It should be possible as long as you can find out which wire is which.

I know Kenwood do adapter kits for steering wheel controls, but dont know if theyve got round to the Almera yet. Also some of the other big names like Alpine Pioneer or something do them too. Best go into your local car audio shop and get some catalogues and have a look thru., but whatever make you buy i.e. Kenwwod, it means you'll need the same make Headunit.
