integra engine same as civic?

i keep hearing that the civic engine and an integra (ls/rs) engine is the same. i keep hearing that an integra is a flashy civic. is this true? is it just a few things they change that makes the integra engine rev higher than the civic engine? i'm totally lost with this. any help is appreciated, thanks.

do one thing for me, tell your friend I said hes a moreon, civic is 1.6liter and integra is 1.8 liter so right off the bat you should know thatr NO they arent the same, getting even more technical, the integra is a "B"18 and the civic is a "D"16 or some even a "D"15. and the civic is SOHC and the intagra is DOHC.

now there is one way your friend is COMPLETELY a ass, still somewhat, but if he means the 99-00 SI, whihc im guessing he didhnt or youd have specified that, then it is a B16 DOHC. but still, the block is shorter, less displacement, and has a vtec head which the integra doesnt.

OH, wait, he is right about them both having different headers(well exhaust manifolds anyways)
