So what do you do for fun besides sit on a pc?

I often wondered what others that are net or computer junkies do besides sit on a pc way toooo much (guilty).

As you can see by the pic and mods listed of my car I am into high performance. Nothing besides a good woman gives me as much of as rush as being forced back into your car's seat by out right power.

I also race it when I get the chance.

The other thing I, which I have not done in since coming to New Zealand is fish. Very relaxing and enjoyable but that is about to change very soon.

Theres plenty more in life than sitting in frount of a PC.

Have coffee with friends at Tim Hortons, wash my car, set up a lawn chair on the sidewalk of a busy street and watch cars (with a friend), listen to music...not much else...

Well when I am not postwhoring away or making up my study notes (aka getting my arse off the computer) I like to:

*Hang out with Alex and our good friends - we go get coffee, play pool or video games, or just sit back n shoot the breeze
*Pampering the Green Beast...some people probably think its retarded that I care for my Neon more than most people care for their Cadillacs, but it's all I got and it's MINE. I am pretty much done with modifying it, but there's a few little things left to do. When that's all done, just take care of it til I part ways with it.
*Design cool stuff on the computer..oops that means I have to be on the computer again huh?
*Digital photography...I like to snap pics of cool stuff I see around
*Aquarium Fish...we have a 46 gallon tank with lots o little fishies. We had 6 gorgeous discus fish but they kept fighting so we sold them back to the store. Everything is all natural...plants etc.
*Video games....something I haven't done much of, but now with the new Game Cube I am picking up that controller again
*Working out..something we just started this week...dunno if that would be classified as a hobby, although I am enjoying it so far
*Relaxing...I don't do this enough, but life is short. So once in awhile when nothing else is going on, i just like to kick back and clear my head

so many different things i enjoy doing from time to time...

- Martial Arts. been doing it for over 17 years now, jun fan, kali, wing tsun, karate, aikido, jiujitsu, kendo, tae kwon do, muy thai, and even some american boxing.

- Ballet. dont laugh. it helps the martial arts skills. my girlfriend is still wiggin from finding out i have been in ballet for 8 years now.

- Music. from simply listening to superbit recordings or actually playing. i play a bit of guitar and piano, and mix on my computer.

- Cooking. i love to cook. usually in combination with some good music, from Vanessa Mae's reditions of classics, to Lords of Acid, from Metallica to Dr. Dre, i pretty much listen to it all. as for cooking, i enjoy preparing japanese cuisine for my girlfriend, as she is the epitome of american, and has never experienced most eastern dishes.

- Reading. i hate books, but i'll research topic i may be interested in at the time and read for days about it.

- Writing. from online articles to words never to been seen within my journal... i enjoy writing, and practicing many different styles.

- Tuning. anything that has a motor and wheels... i just like to tear it apart and try to get it back together without any "spare" parts. installing new parts for the car also adds to a bit of excitement as i get to pamper my other baby

- Racing. active autocross and road racer... autocross develops and fine tunes my skills while road racing allows me to truly put it to practice.

- In depth discussion. i'm the kind of guy who likes to go to the local starbucks and just chat it up with the college kids in there. a bit on my curiosity in sociology and psyche, i like to listen, to talk, and to watch reactions.

- Coffee... nothing beats a good coffee break at Starbucks with a good mag or paper to keep up on current events.

- Movies. Quentin Tarantino flicks. i like to see his representation of everyday conversation within his films. i guess this goes along with my curiousity for psych/sociology

i guess that pretty much sums it up, besides all the crap i enjoy doing with computers.

Ahhhhhh, you big jessie :silly2:

As for me, I just surf during work so every evening I train for my sport. Which is kayaking, I'm on the National Squad here so I train pretty much everyday. Lift weights Mon/Wed/Fri and train on the river on the other days. That doesn't leave much time for anything else, 'cept the girlfriend and I work on my car whenever I get a chance. I mountain bike once a week too, helps with the fitness
