Disable drive locks on Navigation System

The Nissan Navigation System will not allow you to program a destination that is not already in your address book while the vehicle is moving. The option grays out as soon as you start moving. I know this is a safety feature, but a passenger cannot utilize it either. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the feature so you can program the unit while driving ? Also does anyone know how to diasble the opening welcome screen ??
