H series motors
OK, i hear alot of hype about how the H-series motors are bad for turbocharging and Nitrous becasue of weak rods and weak walls and all... But what about the h23... i meen its only 9.8:1 compression and its a closed deck block... wouldnt that make it prety safe for 8psi turbocharged or a good 60-70shot of nitrous? i ask becasue i have a prelude SI i hear so much crap and i was lookin for someone who knows H23's not H22's

wuz up, H23 can handle n2o and turbo, which ever you choose.
I had a 75shot on my H23 and now i upgraded to a turbonetics turbo kit. running 9psi daily on stockk internals.

i got alot of mods, check out my link,
i'm running the turbonetics turbo kit @ 9psi have not run times or dyno #'s yet, i kill mustangs and s2000's i have run even with a M3 2003 and a standard corvette, with good traction i would say the car can run low to mid 13's, with good traction..... |

Re: H series motors
Yeah I've heard that the h22 or h23 is a good power plant and that you could turbo or supercharge them no problem. I'm gonna buy me an h22 and turbo it too with a t3/t4 hybrid turbo kit from turbonetics.

H23 is a good motor to boost, although the H22 wouldnt be bad either.

both engines are good, but the week spot is when you want to go with a bigger bore. B sereis has thicker stock sleves so you can bore happily but if you wnat to bore the h you will need to resleve it. The rods and stuff arent week. All h series have solid deck.

I think that putting a turbo on an h22a or h23 would be fine. Also nitrous shhould be ok too. You might want to do some rebuilding on the engine to handle it but all that would do would make it stronger and faster, which is better. You should check out the full-race turbo kit. They're really nice. I'm thinking of getting one after I do an h22a swap.

heck yeah
hell yeah, if u resleeved the block with something like dartons or golden eagle, CP pistons crower rods maybe some head work... That full race kit would be BADASS with an H23 you could probably put out around 350hp at around 13-18psi... somethin in there
